This will be allocated to teaching and support staff facilitating individual and small group support out of the lessons for those children that need it most to ensure they meet the expected outcomes and for those children who are expected to exceed the expected outcomes. It will also allow for well-being support for those children who need it. This will fund or partly fund 3 teaching assistants, to support disadvantaged children in class and in small groups. In KS2 it frees a TA with QTS to support small group and 1:1 intervention across the classes. It allows teachers to timetable the afternoons in KS1 to facilitate team working allowing teacher input and TA support, then teacher input for PP children in small groups or a 1:1 basis. This ensures the children who need support get it both from TA and teacher led initiatives. It includes funding for extra teaching assistant hours in EYFS to ensure support for disadvantaged children is fully in place from day1. It will also be used to purchase intervention resources and training to ensure the best provision for the children.
To fund lunches for our most disadvantaged children ensuring at least one nutritional meal a day to promote health and well-being.
The remaining funding will support any extra-curricular activities which will benefit the children in terms of academic achievement as well as physical and mental well-being.
