The Child Centred Policing Team would like to highlight concerns relating to sexting and how young people can keep themselves safe online. Attached is a letter for parents/carers highlighting the concerns and steps that can be taken to help safeguard children, and support agencies available.
Two specific websites that are worth mentioning are CEOPS and Protect Young Eyes. Both websites provide support and advice on how to stay safe online. Protect Young Eyes is particularly useful to help understand different apps that children use and the risks associated with those.
