Years 5&6 enjoyed a visit to Rydal Caves on Friday to complete their adventure for the Cumbrian Award. Although there were a few spots of rain, they enjoyed a walk through White Moss Common, explored the cave and had packed lunches on the shore of Rydal Water.

Y3&4 visited the Beacon last term to take part in a prehistory workshop. They looked at and handled artefacts from the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age, found out how people lived back then and how Britain changed during these times. They also enjoyed a look around the museum and a game of mini golf to end their day!

The Foundation Stage children had a lovely surprise visit from Pet Encounter on Monday morning. They looked at lots of different reptiles, insects, and animals and even had the opportunity to hold some of them.

This week, Reception children have been making 'tattie hash.' They peeled and chopped the vegetables to go in the pan. We talked about how to use the vegetable peeler and knives safely. We all sat together to taste the 'tattie hash; it was delicious.
